Located on over 100 acres of rolling terrain, with full show jump course, dressage arena, and unmatched space for conditioning, Basset Hill offers full service training, lessons, and sales. Our Story
Heather Maytham grew up in Area 1 the birthplace of eventing, from ponies to NAJYRC, and a graduate of Jericho Forest Pony Club. She has successfully produced multiple horse from unstarted and off the track through the FEI levels of eventing and 1.30 m show jumping. She was named to the National Young Riders Championship team, and was Area 1 reserve leading Intermediate amateur rider before transitioning to professional status and focusing on growing her business. She enjoys pairing horses with riders and sharing the joys of eventing with all levels of experience. Maytham Eventing horses have gone on to excel at CCI*** level, win from starter to prelim, and most importantly serve as well loved unicorns and partners in their new homes. She believes in constantly striving to further her education, and credits a foundation in Pony Club, working student and training opportunities with Olympian Eric Smiley and Kyle Carter along with Stephie Baer, among many others, with her approach and commitment to horsemanship and continued striving for excellence.
